I want to add AC & Heat to my D5 Dozer

I have a 72 D5 Cat and the previous owner added a cab which is very nice but I can see in the summer you would burn up. I want to add an aftermarket ac and heat unit, any suggestions on where to start looking?

Try a google search for Red Dot Heaters. They make auxiliary heaters and Ac units for various uses. I also saw a couple combination units on E bay in the $200-$300 range.

You can get an electric heater for 12 volt or 24 volt through McMaster Carr. https://www.mcmaster.com/#cab-heaters/=16c2mss

What your looking for is a "Aftermarket farm tractor HVAC system"
    https://www.google.com/search?num=50....0.-Cv9nCZWNFc

Otherwise truckers that want better quieter AC units are just buying cheap $120 window type air conditioners. Cutting a hole in the back of the cab and slipping that in with a inverter big enough to run it.
If it isnt broken, dont repair it.

when I did the a/c in my freightliner I looked into the street rodding catalogs and found a nice under dash mount a/c that was inexpensive. as far as heat goes you could just get a heater core from any ol pick-up or car and build a wood box around it with a fan and hook it up to the bypass line on the engine
