Buttercup the '50 Ford 8N
Here's a good old tractor. We call Buttercup because of her pale yellow colour and the missus has picked the name!!
She IS a bit of a work horse and we've pulled a lot of logs out of the woods with her. A tough old girl. She once pulled a semi out of the rhubarb that was delivering hay to our place. What a performance that was!!
I put the skis on her this year and I'll tell you, I had a ball!!

Skis look homemade like maybe off a skido sled. Looks like a lot of fun. How does it steer? do you get much slide?
Had the bombardier tracks on one of my 4000's. It was an old set and the rubber kept breaking. That's why I think the ARPS may be better.
Actually it steers pretty good in the cold fluffy snow, but I need to touch either brake to get a good turn with it in the wetter sticky snow. I find it's a bit of a chore to back it up unless you're in the hard packed driveway for example.
Each ski on the front is a made of two snowmobile skis welded together with a steel metal space in between to make them a little wider.
Buttercup looks great and I'm sure it is very useful in your winter climate.

Looks like a great little rig.
