    Sawmill Rates

It's been many years for me so that is the reason for the question. Have any of yall had any lumber sawed recently and what cost should I expect? A local guy is cutting lumber with one of the newer bandsaws. He charges by the hour as measured by the running time recorded.on the saw. Most all the circular sawmill guys who are now charged by the board footage. I guess I will find out in a few days.

The mill I used to work for charged by the board foot, but they don't do any custom sawing anymore, it's all production sawing now for flooring companies.

Got my lumber at the first of the week. As far as I know there are no longer any older circular saw mills operating nearby. I had to go where I could get the job done.
