    Funny story about a Case

Harold has this old Case LA that I had running last year for him and sometime over the winter it just decided to quit. So we had it in his shop and decided to take a look on a quiet Saturday night. I'm on one side and Harold is on the other...gas off and out of gear Harold pulls a plug wire off the number one cylinder and asks me to roll it over by the crank looking for spark. So I don't know if any of you have ever tried to crank a Case LA by hand but its no easy feat This thing has a straight pipe on it by the way and just as I was clicking it over real slow the darned thing fired and raced up in RPM! I felt like I had a live wire attached to the seat of my pants! It stalled out and Harold was staring at me mouth open still holding the plug wire.....that he swears he never got zapped with! LOL How it fired I don't know and how he didn't get zapped I don't know but I do know staring that 8000lb beast in the grille when it raced to life got my blood pumping! lol We ended up taking off the mag and carb for rebuilding and we need to do some wiring so we can start it with the battery. Just felt like sharing a funny story
