Within the last few days, leaves have began losing their true green color, and the change to fall colors has begun. Also at the same time, the acorns began to fall in a hurry. It sounds like the tin roofs on my farm sheds are competing to see which one can make the loudest noise when an acorn hits them. The black walnuts beside the house are coming down quickly too. Persimmons, which had slowed down over the last 10 days or so, suddenly began falling in larger amounts too.

All the changes happened at about the same time and provide further proof of the changing seasons. I am thankful to be here to see it.
