    My hot pickles okra

    I use pint jars - get the smallest sized okra you can find. Wash in cold water. Pack into pint jars. Add 1 tsp of red pepper flakes, or more or less, 1 tsp of palin salt to each pint. Boil a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar and add to jars. Seal the jars, boil 10 - 15 minutes. After 6 weeks open and enjoy.

    I like pickled okra, Miss Joanne not so much. I cannot take the hot stuff though. I have had a sweet tasting with just a little heat pickled okra that was good.
