    Update On The 52

Shot some video in and around the 52 Mercury yesterday. It has come a long way in a year.

Great progress Rusty! Slow and steady is the way to go on it.

Thanks for the update. You've got quite a bit done. Engine sounds great with the straight pipe.
Not a sweeter sound than an old V8 revved up.

Thanks for looking guys. I am slow for sure. I don't even know yet just how far I will take this. For now I am just trying to prevent further deterioration. Maybe spend some money on getting the brakes working. If I get real adventurous I might try welding some floor and rocker patches in. Mostly it is just for fun as four door sedans are not likely going to be a big collectible item.

I see this is an older post, but do you still have that Merc? Lovely car, for sure. Sort of like a baby Lincoln. Love them oldies.

You bet the Merc is here and will be as long as I'm around. Its rusty and ragged but 2 tons of fun for me. It is safe and dry indoors but I had it out for a run in January to shoot some video and photos. If you care to take a look.
