October 30, 2009 - WORKMASTER™ Tractors Feature Trusted Name and Simple, Dependable Performance at the Right Price
NEW HOLLAND, PA - New Holland's new WORKMASTER TM tractors bear a trusted name, and the same important qualities that made the original WORKMASTER tractors so popular in the 1960s. True to the original models, New Holland's new WORKMASTER tractors are dependable, basic workhorses that are simple to operate and easy on the wallet.
The 45-hp WORKMASTER 45 and 55-hp WORKMASTER 55, which replace New Holland's popular TT45A and TT50A tractors, are powered by proven, fuel-efficient, four-cylinder New Holland engines. The engines are Tier III emissions compliant and can be operated with diesel or B5 biodiesel fuel. They deliver quiet start-ups and smooth, quiet operation.
Just like the originals, the new WORKMASTER tractors are built to work hard and last long. Their strong, cast iron axles effortlessly handle the stress and strain of heavy loader work. Big three-point hitch lift capacity (more than 2,500 lbs. on the WORKMASTER 55) means the tractor can manage larger implements. And for added traction and better performance in tough, slippery conditions, WORKMASTER tractors are available with a front-wheel-drive axle option.
Simple and reliable
With an 8x8 transmission with four constant mesh gears in two ranges, WORKMASTER tractors provide speeds to match any task, from mowing to loader work. Gears are set up in a simple H pattern, and shuttling between forward and reverse is easy. A synchronized mechanical shuttle lever, conveniently located to the left of the steering wheel, makes controlling the loader a cinch.
The comfortable, open operator station is designed for operator convenience with plenty of foot and leg room. Controls are easily accessible right next to the seat, and bright, clear, analog instrument gauges are easy to read. The suspension on the deluxe, contoured seat adjusts for operator comfort. The sloped hood and rounded fenders provides outstanding visibility, another big plus for loader work. And the vertical exhaust directs noise, heat and fumes away from the operator.
New Holland's WORKMASTER tractors are expected to be available at New Holland dealerships in early 2010.

With the Boomer 8N and now bringing back the Workmaster name.
It would seem that NH is trying to boost their tractor sales,
by getting the Ford faithful consumers to buy new tractors. _________________ ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Yeah they are. Fiat being doing that here lately with their CIH branded tractors. They brought back the Farmall name, and been renumbered them to include the famous letters. Like A, C etc. Even with the letter decals they used to carry. on the hood sides. I been wondering when Fiat was going to do the same with NH. Seems it has started.
I heard mixed results from this. Some like it some hate it. I know I won't be trading my 3000 in for one.
I know for sure just a name change won't help on sales in my area. The NH dealer mainly sells Kubota for tractors, but they sale a ton out of NH haying implements. Last time I was there the Kubota to NH ratio on tractors was like 4-1. The dealer said he just can't sell the NH tractors. Been like that after NH was put on the sides. Sales bottomed right after the NH takeover. |

Same in my area. The Ford dealer for 50 some years became Kubota.
The Gehl dealer picked up New Holland, and sells more Bobcat loaders than tractors, but sells the devil out of equipment. _________________ ALWAYS REMEMBER:

I see your area is about like mine on customers. When a brand changes up due to buy out or something. They leave and don't really buy the new equipment.
JD has really took on a foot hold in my area on tractors, due to their brand has never changed. The farmers got tired of seeing their brand drop off.
Our Ford dealer been Ford for about 50 years as well. You go there now you will see a sea of Orange Kubotas, a few blues, and rest all implements. Their implement yard is like twice as big as the tractor area. |

I see Case IH is bringing back the Scout name too, on a side by side utility vehicle. _________________ Ernie in KY

True, they are really working on trying to tie in IH's history into the new Fiat CNH brand. |
