I started this project about 2 weeks ago. I decided I could use materials left over from building the house and build a custom playland a lot nicer, sturdier, and cheaper than the ones you buy from Lowes, Wal-Mart, or online. I figure I will end up with around $300-$400 in it, but it will be a lot better than the ones you buy for $1200-$2000. The entire structure is bolted together for easy disassembly so I can sell it when the kid outgrows it.

So, here is a couple of pictures from a week ago to start with. I built all pieces in the garage, then used the little Kubota with a front end loader to move them to this location. I then bolted all the different assemblies together and started putting on the siding. I now have all the siding completed, ladder installed, slide installed, window and door casings in, and the fascia boards on.

Nice job! Itll be a great fort or place to sleepover in. I had one that my neighbor built and didnt want- so pop went and brot it over to the backyard- we kept it for quite a few years , i never did sleep in it tho- was too hot in there- was before we thought of putting an ac unit in there i guess.

If we had still kept it, it woulda made a great storage shed for my spare tractor parts-lol!

It's actually finished now minus staining it. I'll post pics later this week.

All finished except for staining. We are going to add more swing items as the boy grows. He is too young for most play sets.
