| I just brought home my 1947 B F Avery Model A yesterday and still have not gotten her off the trailer... She needs some help as she was drug out of her resting place in the edge of a corn field after 10 years. They through a battery in it 4 years ago and changed all the fluids and she fired right up but the brake on the back right tire is froze up and the clutch they said is froze. Its gonna be an interesting project I think. Its my first tractor restore so thats gonna make it even more interesting LOL. I did just manage to score an original shop manual with exploded views and all the parts list from ebay for 50 bucks. What a find that was and it sure is gonna come in handy. Any ideas on where to start with this thing or anybody with an A that wants to stand by and maybe steer me in the right directions with the many questions I will begin asking in the next week or so. I really wanna have her running and moving around by the end of August so she can make her fresh out of the weeds debut at the Waterloo Farm Museum tractor and engine show here in Michigan. Also I am in the Jackson Michigan area, is there anyone else who is close by that may be able to give some insight on this project that I have a feeling is about to consume the next year of life LOL........ Looking forward to meeting everyone and any help will be greatly appreciated..... How can I add pics to this, I just tried and cant figure the darn thing out....... |

There is a good tutorial posted at the link above.
Photobucket has updated a time or two, but I don't think it has changed so much that the instructions
won't help you through it. There are two types of accounts. Free works very well and is probably all
you need. You don't need the Pro account unless you really get into photos.
Many of us use Photobucket, so if you get stuck on something, ask and someone will know what to do. _________________ Check out ATF Stores. Click here - CASEMAN STORE or JRCASEMAN STORE

Hi Sly, congrats on your tractor project, I've thought that the Averyl are nice tractors, wouldn't mind having one but my better half would think that I don't need another tractor. Good luck with the project and the manual will coming in handy. _________________ GB in MN
